TLM a.k.a. The Last Mohican

Over the years, TLM, aka The Last Mohican, has produced a significant amount of music for artists such as Brainpower. He also provides DJs with free beats for practice purposes. In 2026, it's time to start releasing his own projects.

Chapter One

Always In Yellow Music

All projects will be released through Always In Yellow Music and will be available as direct-to-consumer products on my websites and Bandcamp.

The Last Mohican projects are centered around instrumental Hip Hop music, infused with turntablism.

TLM: "I want my albums to sound like classic Hip Hop mixtapes. In this era of short attention spans and even shorter songs, I felt the need to create listening experiences. I've taken a bunch of my songs and mixed them to create an actual mixtape. You press play, sit back, and enjoy the musical trip. There's no skipping to the next track because the whole album is one track!"

The Last Mohican vs DSP

TLM: "Most DSPs have little respect for artists. Especially Spotify. They severely underpay and undercut artists at every turn. They use artists' music to train their AI software in unethical ways, and some even use their enormous profits to fund (military) causes I do not support. For those reasons and more, I limit my use of the platforms".

Right now, the mix album and beat tape version are available on Qobuz (the highest quality and better payouts). You can stream and also buy both versions on their platform.

The beat tape version is also available on Tidal (better payout than Spotify and Apple Music). I added that platform because Tidal integrates with most DJ software. DJs know what I mean.

The Last Mohican - Chapter One is now also available on cassette! The perfect format for a mix album. TLM: "I really wanted to release physical products as well, and cassettes are the first step. CDs and vinyl are next. I see more and more people are getting back into ownership. Imagine paying for a DSP subscription for years, and the moment you stop paying, you are left with nothing!
